Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Inventory Accountant with a strong understanding of inventory management to join our team in Dubai. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, specifically in Dubai, and proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software. This role is crucial to maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring smooth operations within our accounting department.

Key Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Maintain and update inventory records, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Monitor stock levels and perform regular physical inventory counts.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and system records, investigating and resolving any issues.

Accounting & Reporting:

  • Record inventory transactions in the Peachtree Accounting Software.
  • Prepare detailed inventory reports, including inventory valuation, turnover rates, and other key metrics.
  • Assist in the preparation of financial statements by providing accurate inventory data.

Cost Control:

  • Analyze inventory costs and suggest cost-saving opportunities.
  • Monitor and report on inventory variances, providing insights for management decisions.

Compliance & Documentation:

  • Ensure compliance with local and international accounting standards.
  • Maintain accurate and organized documentation related to inventory, including purchase orders, invoices, and receipts.

Collaboration:

  • Work closely with procurement, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure efficient inventory management.
  • Provide support during audits by supplying necessary inventory records and documentation.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Minimum 2 years of experience in inventory accounting, with experience in Dubai preferred.

Software Skills:

Proficiency in Peachtree Accounting Software.

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

Skills:

  • Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
